In order to reach our goals, we apply the following technologies:

- Experiments on scale models. We carry out experiments on scale models that help us determine the shape of our designs. The experiments result in nearly optimal shapes.

- Numerical form optimization. The shapes determined through experiments on scale models are further improved through the use of innovative computer programs. The numerically improved designs lie closer to the optimum than experimentally determined designs.

- Pre-stressing and post-tensioning. Through pre-stressing and post-tensioning of cables and structures we are able to design particularly lightweight and slender structures.
